Investment increased with respect to GDP. Funds invested as a percentage of GDP14 was 0.70%, an increase of 7 p.p. compared to 2021. The European average was 0.63 (according to Invest Europe), thanks to the record investment in 2022 (€130Bn, second best figure on record). The Netherlands (1.18% of investment as a percentage of GDP) and Sweden (1.12%) lead the European ranking with respect to this variable.
